Development

RideTech StrongArms are engineered and tested at RideTech headquarters in Jasper, Indiana using a running and driving vehicle. This development process allows RideTech engineers to address fitment and performance concerns, verify installation procedures, and continually evaluate real-world suspension performance.

This hands-on approach ensures proper geometry, predictable handling, and consistent installation results.

Design

StrongArms are designed with simplicity and strength in mind. Each arm is manufactured in-house using RideTech’s advanced four-axis tubing bender, allowing extremely precise and repeatable bends.

This process creates smooth tubing shapes that normally would require multiple welded pieces. The perimeter of the control arm is contoured to maximize wheel clearance and turning radius while maintaining strength and durability.

Components

Each StrongArm is powder coated in a satin black finish for long-lasting durability and corrosion resistance. The arms arrive fully assembled with ball joints, cross shafts, and bushings installed.

Injection-molded Delrin bushings impregnated with Teflon reduce suspension deflection and stiction while eliminating the need for lubrication, helping maintain smooth and consistent suspension movement.

Suspension Geometry Improvements

Properly engineered control arms increase positive caster and correctly position the wheel within the wheel opening to maximize tire clearance.

Ball joint angles are repositioned to prevent suspension binding during travel, allowing smoother articulation and improved steering stability.
